AOptix Technologies is developing stand-off iris recognition systems utilizing adaptive optics technology originally invented for deep space astronomical imaging to correct for atmospheric distortions. Adaptive optics employs wavefront sensing and closed loop control to adjust tracking and focus in real-time. The company's iris recognition system automatically locates and locks in the subject's eye within a very large capture volume of 1 cubic meter. In this way, the system does all the work of finding the subject and capturing very high quality iris images, thereby inverting the machine - human interface paradigm. At the present time, the company is completing development of a system with a stand-off distance range of 1 ½ to 2 ½ meters, intended for access control and identification applications.

Border Control System. The company also offers passport
readers and fingerprint readers (live scanners). DERMALOG’s
most recent success is the supply of more than 13,000
fingerprint readers (ZF1) to the German registry offices
within the ePassport project. The ZF1 is the smallest,
optical plain single fingerprint scanner, which fulfils
all quality requirements of the FBI (EFTS/F, PIV) and
BSI (TR-PDÜ).
GenKey is positioned to deliver a major breakthrough
in biometric functionality. - IBG 2007. GenKeys biocryptic
technology converts the fingerprint to a public key,
matched only by the private key – your finger. Our templates
are privacy friendly, revocable, very small and extremely
fast to process. They are impossible to reverse engineer
and unlike traditional fingerprint templates they cannot
be used as input to create a match in a verification
situation. This means the biometric key can be stored
in a registered traveller profile or printed as a barcode
on a boarding card without compromising privacy or security.
